“The 2018 Châteauneuf Du Pape, tasted from bottle, also showed beautifully, with oodles of Provençal charm in its ripe cherry and strawberry fruits as well as spicy garrigue, licorice, and loamy soil-like aromas and flavors. It’s not the biggest or richest wine in the vintage, but it’s beautifully balanced and medium-bodied, with silky tannins and a great finish. Drink this Provençal, spicy, already complex beauty any time over the coming decade.”

Robert Parker: 91 point.
“Chante Perdrix’s 2018 Chateauneuf du Pape is one of the few wines in the appellation to contain an appreciable proportion of Muscardin (a whopping 5%). The balance this year is Grenache (65%), Mourvèdre (15%) and Syrah (15%). Full-bodied and opulent without being overly concentrated or heavy, it’s a big, ripe wine with supple tannins for drinking over the near term. Dried cherries, leather and spice notes speak of the traditional blend and elevage, finishing with hints of licorice and warmth.”

Niels Lillelund (Politiken): 90 point.
“Stram, ung, saftig, lækker og imødekommende; frugten er moden, sund og rig, et elegant krydderi til sidst, lige til at hælde i løgnhalsen. Meget typisk for både stedet og årgangen, meget let at elske.”
